Scoutbook

Our Troop uses Scoutbook primarily to do the following

  • Schedule events
  • Track all advancements
  • Provide troop specific information.

It is the foundation for Parent-Leader-Scout communications. It is open to all parents/guardians with a scout that is active and to all scouts with that parent’s permission (Only the parent or guardian can authorize the scout to join Scoutbook, the troop admin does not have the ability to enable a scout)

It includes discussion forums and collaboration / interaction capabilities for Merit badge counselors and scouts work together in a safe manner.  You can access and follow your scout’s progress for advancements and merit badges and keep current on the latest happenings by signing up.

You can access it from the Troop’s website Home page or go to http://scoutbook.com     Once registered and linked to Troop 769, we can provide access to your scout’s record.  For assistance please contact Webmaster@troop769.com

Money Matters

Dues: Troop dues are collected on the quarterly basis and are currently at $45 per quarter but can change as needed. Dues go towards the cost of maintaining our camping equipment, trailer, and canoes plus campsite reservations.

Activity Fees: For each planned activity, scouts are expected to pay towards the amount for meals, usually $20-30; however, current CDC guidelines are such that each scout must bring their own meals on activities until further notice.

Fundraising: Various fundraisers are available throughout the year for scouts to help offset the cost of activities, summer camp, and dues. Campcard and Popcorn sales are coordinated by an adult leader designated each year.

If you have any questions regarding dues or costs, please click below to send an e-mail to our troop Treasurer, Joe Regel.

Welcome to Troop 769 Odenton, MD

Welcome to the website of Troop 769, Boy Scouts of America, Odenton, Maryland. We’re a “Youth Run” troop, employing the qualities and ideals found in the Scouts BSA program to build character, foster citizenship, develop leadership, commitment to community, and appreciation for the outdoors. The best definition of Scouting is found in the three points of the Scout Oath, symbolized by the three fingers of the scout sign. Each point of this oath defines one of the fundamental duties of a Scout: Duty To God, Duty To Other People, and Duty To Myself.
