About Our Troop

The troop is chartered by Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton, Maryland.

Our Regular Scout meetings are held on most Tuesday evenings ( Check calendar for status ) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We are always open to visits, and it is a great time to learn about the troop. Most adult leaders are available to answer any questions that you may have.

This is a youth lead troop and they have periodic planning sessions to set a 6 month agenda and adjust for priorities.   Some meetings have merit badge classes and some involve skills and rank advancement activities, some time is reserved for planning upcoming outings. There are often several opportunities each month for a mix of activities including camping, service to the community, biking , hiking, canoeing, backpacking ( we have our own canoes).

We have attended in the past and will continue to plan for a number of High Adventure excursions.
